Gulp...

It's that time of year again.

I've just received my mammogram appointment letter. It's on Friday 13th June. Now, I'm not superstitious really but as I was diagnosed on a Friday 13th I can't help but feel a bit nervous about the date. Plus, I'm going to have to go away on holiday waiting for results now. Dammit. That happened last year and I was recalled...

Right - time to get a mantra I think "this will not phase me, this will not phase me....". I guess I could phone and ask for another appointment - but I won't. It's just a date...

Or that maybe lightning doesn't strike twice?

On the other hand, I think going away on holiday thinking about results really does impair the holiday spirit. What's the point of a holiday then? What about getting the appointment changed just on that score?

I'm going to bite the bullet (and hopefully dodge it too!) and leave the appointment as it is.

Friday 13th is going to be good this time...

Well from one Jo to another...best of luck with that honey. Fri 13th is just another day, and you'll know inside somewhere that it has no significance. And as Doris says, thinking about it, the chances of getting the same news twice on the same day...well whatever the date, gotta be pretty remote?

Looked back through your blog to see if I could read about what's been happening to you art work. Sounds horrid.

Courage.

Well hello Jo :) We're everywhere aren't we!!

Thanks for popping by. It's lovely to know people are reading (even if all I seem to do on here is whinge and moan!)

Sometimes we all need to whinge and moan and then we can get beyond it. And sometimes, some of us have a lot more to whinge and moan about and I reckon you are up there and are more than entitled. :-)

I'm glad you and Josephine have now met :-)

Hello, I've come from Doris's too.
My mammogram is on 16th June, I phoned for the appointment yesterday morning. I can't believe you don't get the results straight away. In France we see a doctor who does an examination at the same time, he/she (we can choose) looks at the images and tells you what he thinks. If you want to wait for the results it takes 20 minutes for them to be written up.

I'll be thinking of you and I hope you manage to enjoy your holiday.

Hi Anji, and welcome (or should that be bienvenue!) :)

It's ridiculous that we have to wait for results here. Weeks of worrying and waiting for the dreaded envelope to come. Argh!

Good luck with your appointment too.
